The Beginning
By the end of 1959, Willie Buck had touched the heights of fame in Flint, Michigan. Back in those days, when "urban legends" were built primarily by word-of-mouth, Willie's feats on the unpaved tracks of the city's south side firmly fixed his name in the hearts and minds of folks all across the city of Flint.
A Message from the National President
Welcome to our new Phi Eta Psi Fraternity website. Please come in and learn about our great Fraternity founded in 1965 at Flint Community College in Flint Michigan, now known as Mott College. Phi Eta Psi was founded out of the calling of the Civil Rights movement which was at its peak here in the United States in 1965. We were founded as more than just a social connection on college campuses, but as a socially conscious Fraternity with our mission rooted in the Phi Eta Psi ‘Seven Aspects of Service’. These principles are:
- We will send men out into the community to serve.
- We will engage with the communities where we exist.
- We will respond, and not to be silent.
- We will value a generation that has been devalued.
- We will instill and pour ourselves into others.
- We will commit to these tasks and stay for the long haul.
- We will enable and use what we have learned and help others.
This year we celebrate our 60th year since Phi Eta Psi Fraternity was founded and more than ever Phi Eta Psi Fraternity is committed to these principles in the communities where each of our members exist and live. Our members and Alumni chapters across the world are thriving and living our mission to serve as guardians to our community. Although for a brief period, our undergraduate chapters were dormant, today we are reviving our activities and membership on college campuses across America. We are an active member of the North American Interfraternity Conference (NAIC) also known as the NIC or IFC. This resurgence of Phi Eta Psi on the college campuses has created opportunity for our membership to develop young men through our programming focused on Mentorship, Internship, and Entrepreneurship.
If you’re looking for a connection to a group of men that will help prepare you to succeed in today’s world, we may be that Brotherhood. If you’re looking for relevant leadership experience that goes well beyond the classroom we may be a good fit for you. Check us out. If we’re not currently on your campus, a new Chapter can begin with you!
Thank you,
Mark A. Gibson

Eternal Founding Fathers
Eternal Emerald
Phi Eta Psi is built on the foundation of true trust and belief in one's self and one's brother. The everlasting fraternal bond of "Brotherhood" from one brother to another is a treasured experience.
The realm of "Green and Gold" offers the opportunity to learn how to be a leader amongst leaders, to be a productive member of a group and society, how to plan and follow through with goals and objectives, and how to evaluate and respond to different lifestyles and value systems.

Membership through the on-boarding process
We strive to create the atmosphere to develop young leaders that will contribute greatly to society. The on-boarding process for membership centers on leadership and professional development and positions future members to utilize skills to have a positive impact within their respective communities.
