Founding Fathers

On April 5, 1965, eight beautiful young men full of passion and cultural fortitude founded Phi Eta Psi Fraternity. Willie Buck, James Humphrey, Rondy Harris, Leon Lucas, Ronald Thompson, Jerome Davis (Jihad Hassan Sharif), Lincoln Murphy, and Eugene Tolbert are the Phi Eta Psi Fraternity's Founding Fathers. C.S. Mott Community College in Flint, Michigan, became the birthplace of what would be a fraternity that has stood for more than 55 years as a beacon of black excellence and guidance to thousands of men across America. Flint, Michigan, will be forever known as Alpha Chapter, the "Eternal Emerald," which gave rise to Phi Eta Psi Fraternity, Inc.
