After graduating from High school in 1979, I attended Washtenaw Community College while living on the campus of Eastern Michigan University. During that time, I became friends with several brothers of Phi Eta Psi Fraternity. I hung out with the brothers so much that other students thought I had already pledged and crossed.
I pledged in the Fall of 1980 and crossed December 6, 1980, line name is the Treacherous 12 Terrorists of Devastating Debonair. 1 was number 5 and president of our line. After crossing, I was elected as chapter Historian and a year later became step coordinator.
I graduated in December of 1983 with a degree in Business Administration, concentrating in Marketing. I worked in retail sales for Nestle foods for three years, banking as an Assistant Manager for two years until I found my calling in financial services, where I'm currently employed with over 30 years of experience.
Being out of college, I would regularly attend EMU Black Alumni parties and other social events in the Detroit and Ypsilanti areas. I would always run into classmates in other fraternities and sororities, and also the fact that we were so popular.
I've been active on an Alumni and National level beginning in 1989 when I reserved a hotel conference room and invited Brothers to attend to make it happen. The meeting led to starting a new Executive Board, myself as Treasurer, providing leadership and guidance to our growing undergrad chapters. Several years later, the Detroit Alumni Chapter evolved from brothers coming together.
In the year 2000, Sands Derrick Williams aka Slick Rick passed away, and a lot of brothers from the Delta chapter attended his homegoing service. From that gathering, we started a Phi Eta Psi EMU Alumni chapter which later became the Metro-West Alumni chapter. Also, in the year 2000, we reconnected with the brothers from Indiana and scheduled a conclave at Central Michigan University. That led to National Elections and a new executive board with my role as National Treasurer from 2002 to 2006. I became the interim President from 2006 to 2010 and National Treasurer from 2010 to 2012.
I've participated in many community projects with Detroit, Metro-West, and Indiana Alumni chapters. With Detroit Alumni, I volunteered on Detroit Community Clean-up Day. I have participated in the Breast Cancer walk for the past several years with Indiana alumni. I volunteered as a marshal for the Circle City Classic. Our responsibility will be to continue following the structure and guidelines set forth by past elected board members, to provide leadership and be role models for our brotherhood, and to increase our community involvement.
Basically, I bleed green and gold and will always remain active in some capacity.

I currently work as a Senior Account Executive for Timberland, where I've been employed for the past 11+ years. I previously held a similar position (Territory Manager) with Kenneth Cole Productions for nine years. I have held positions in outside sales with The Taubman Company as a Specialty Retail Agent for two years and, prior to that, held multiple sales to Managerial positions with Sibley's Shoes of Detroit, MI.
I attended Eastern Michigan University in the fall of 1976 and became familiar with Phi Eta Psi Fraternity, Inc as a first-semester freshman. At that time, I had no intentions of pledging anything, but I was approached by another organization in the Fall of 1978. When I rejected their offer, I was told that they didn't want to see me on a "Phi Eta Psi" line. That became a challenge and motivating force for me. I already knew brothers from the previous Neophyte line and was roommates with the current President. I crossed Delta Chapter on November 17, 1978! As a Neophyte, I was elected Treasurer and appointed Co-Chairman of our Ball committee.
I eventually left Eastern Michigan, got married, and decided to return to school while working full-time at Sibley's. I graduated in December of 1994 Magna Cum Laude from the University of Detroit Mercy with a BSBA in Marketing. Even during this time, I stayed in contact with Brothers from Delta Chapter as well as Mu Chapter, and we eventually formed an Alumni Chapter.
I'm a firm believer in not starting something you can't finish! This fraternity has so many brothers that have had positive experiences and for "whatever reason," don't want to invest in making this organization successful. I'm pledging myself to bring back brothers that want to see the fraternity continue to grow and become one of the premier Black Greek organizations in the country.

I graduated from Flint Northern HS in June 1966. Attended Flint Jr. College. Pledged Phi Eta Psi Fraternity, Inc. and crossed the burning sands on November 29, 1966. "Lead Dog" Frat name "Deacon Rawls."
I served three years in the US Army where I achieved the rank of Specialist 5. I retired after thirty-five years as a Machine Repairman at AC Spark Plug, Division of General Motors. Personally, I am divorced with one daughter, Courtney (Brian) Dunnville and one son, Brandon (Kumi) Rawls. I volunteer for Big Brothers, Boy Scouts, and Amer. Additionally, I am mentoring youth, have been an active member of the Flint Sunrise Rotary Club and was Chairman of the Deacon Board at St. James CME Church. Past Fraternity roles include President, Treasurer, Corresponding Secretary and Recording Secretary.
I will always continue to do the best I can to make this Fraternity a "Force To Be Reckoned With."

Jermarx D. Marsh is a faithful, loyal and outgoing individual who is goal-oriented and success-driven. Over the last 15 years, Mr. Marsh has used this core belief system to successfully improve community health management around the city of Flint, MI. He has been the recipient of awards and accolades. However, he is most proud of being a husband and a father.
Jermarx crossed Legacy Chapter: Upsilon Death Valley Chapter (Grand Valley State University) on 12/06/1996. His desire is to see Phi Eta Psi Fraternity, Inc. take its place as the most notable fraternity in the world.
My name is Rory McDonald; I have been a member of Phi Eta Psi Fraternity since 1975. A proud Original Brother of Theta Chapter, “Sugar Pie Guys” of Eastern Washington State College. Upon transferring to the University of California at Santa Barbara, I engaged a dynamic group of men, and we established the Nu chapter of Phi Eta Psi Fraternity in 1976, the founding father of one of the most impactful brotherhoods on the campus.
After graduating from the University of California Santa Barbara with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Sociology, I served as a Commissioned Officer in the United States Army Reserves as a Nuclear Weapons Officer. Professionally, I have worked in the mental health field for over thirty years in the capacity of Director, Manager, Supervisor, and Coordinator.
My volunteer work includes membership in the American Legion, where I was elected as the Post Commander for three consecutive terms. While in the position of Commander, I developed policies and procedures relative to constitutional guidelines and amendments.
I am a pre-doctoral fellow in Metaphysics and Behavioral Analysis Applications. Currently, I work as a mental health consultant and educator, providing crisis intervention training in the state of Texas. After many years of missing the spirit of Green and Gold, I participated in the establishment of the Greater West Alumni Chapter in 2015, serving in the capacity of Archigeus. With a solid command of parliamentary procedures and principled judgment, I am proud to join the national leadership team in the capacity of Grand Phylacter/ Sergeant- At -Arms. My fraternal objectives include but are not limited to Increasing organizational effectiveness and solidifying Phi Eta Psi as a union of “FOR REAL” brothers on the move. “Whenever I see my brother along the paths of life, I will always remember that I am he and he is Me, and Brothers we will be until Eternity.”
